Willow Walk - June 3, 2016
Students are currently participating in the PowerUp School Challenge. This challenge engages and inspires kids to PowerUp their bodies with fruits, veggies and physical activity. As a culmination to these fun-filled weeks and as a kick-off to an active summer, Willow River Elementary students will be participating in the 3rd Annual Willow Walk.
The Willow Walk will be taking place on our last day of school, Friday, June 3rd. For this exciting event, all Willow River students and staff will be walking down to Lakefront Park and back. Students and staff will be meeting on the playground at 9:30 a.m. to kick-off this event and, upon return, receiving a healthy snack and an end-of-the-walk surprise. The estimated return time is 11:00 a.m.
A signed permission slip is required for students to participate. Please click here for a copy of the permission slip.
Family Vacation Requests
Whenever possible, family vacations should be taken when school is not in session. When circumstances require a student to miss school for a family vacation, the parent/guardian must notify the school prior to the absence and complete the Family Vacation Request form. Failure to notify the school through the Family Vacation Request form and/or make up work missed may result in an unexcused absence.
